Information Literacy
and Essential Skills At-A-Glance

The diagram above illustrates
Information Literacy and what is important for students to know about
Information Literacy. Information Literacy is an important literacy
needed for the information age, when so many students, teachers, and
adults are using computers connected to a variety of information
mediums. The website was designed to provide you with a brief
introduction to Information Literacy, as well to highlight some important
aspects and concerns. In addition, there are a variety of models for
the teacher in the Information Literacy Models section. Lastly, an
important aspect of becoming information literate is an online search
tutorial, which should make you an expert at navigating the Internet for
information. The Wood Team truly hopes that you become and
Information Expert that empowers your students to be Information
Literate.
Remember to surf safe and check out Online Safety!
Our website's main goal
is to inform educators and other interested parties about practical tools
and strategies to support the construction of knowledge, asking the right
questions, and evaluating a multitude of answers so that they become and
promote:
